Chelsea Burwell is an experienced communication professional with expertise in the areas of storytelling, content creation and management, and strategy building.

Fusing her passions for advocacy, narrative storytelling, and community building, Chelsea is a creative dreamer with visions of finding new ways to engage and empower through different forms of communication, including written and digital media. She has a wealth of experience, having held several positions over her decade-long career including freelance writer, copyeditor, communications manager, podcast producer, and communications and marketing consultant.

A native of Chesterfield, VA — by way of Richmond — Chelsea is a proud alumna of Winston-Salem State University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in mass communications and English. She also holds a master’s degree in Communication, Culture, and Technology from Georgetown University. When she’s not focused on work, she can be found exploring local eateries, reading a juicy novel or memoir, planning her Summer 2023 wedding and next travel adventure with her fiancé, and keeping up with her two active and curious sons, De’Andre Jr. and Dontae.
